About Mattawan, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Mattawan, Michigan is a small village located in Van Buren County’s Antwerp Township. Nearly 2,000 people resided here as of the 2010 census. The community was named after a town found along the Hudson River in New York, although it has since developed its own identity as a quiet place to live and raise a family. The village offers small-town charm, but its proximity to Kalamazoo at just seven miles away also offers many amenities of a big city.

There are several unique things to see and do in Mattawan. Nature enthusiasts might appreciate a trip to the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery or the Shades of Lavender Farm. After a long day of antique shopping at William Lesterhouse Antiques, visitors might like to try a local wine at Cody Kresta Vineyard & Winery. There are also restaurants available to please even the pickiest of eaters, such as Nonla Vietnamese Street Food, Chinn Chinn, and Mancino’s Samuel Italian Eatery.

With varied weather conditions throughout the year, it is important that Mattawan residents prepare for anything with proper climate controls. The winter season is cold and snowy, and there are some days in which temperatures stay below zero. Average daily highs in January only reach 31 degrees Fahrenheit, which is also below the freezing point. Regular heating system maintenance, especially in the autumn months, will provide Mattawan families with affordable peace of mind that these units always run at peak performance.

Summertime weather is drastically different in Mattawan. Humidity levels and temperature both steadily increase until highs reach the mid-80s by July. While some residents appreciate the warmer weather, these conditions could prove dangerous to certain populations. For this reason, it is important that Mattawan residents invest in the right home cooling system, and many opt for a high SEER central air conditioner system. These units will keep indoor conditions safe and comfortable while also improving the quality of circulating air.
